Help us mobilise more people and take the gospel further in 2024

Let us work together to mobilize more people and take the gospel even further in 2024. Below are some prioritized projects we need sponsors for to serve the worldwide church even better this year. You can also download our course catalog at the bottom of the page to find more information. Please share it with others who share the vision of mobilizing businesspeople, professionals, and students to bring the gospel to new places through life and work.

  • In 2024 Tent will hold GO Equipped courses in several low-income nations. All churches can send professionals and businesspeople, no matter what material resources they may have. We want to sponsor participants at all these courses so that the course price is affordable. On an average we need sponsorships of USD 95 per participant to break even when we run courses in low-income nations.

Total sponsor need in 2024: USD 23,750

  • To help churches from more nations to become sending churches, Tent is planning a West Africa conference on tentmaking in Abuja, Nigeria, in February 2025. We aim at bringing participants from all 16 West African countries to the gathering. The conference will be done in collabroration with the tentmaking network in the Lausanne movement.

Estimated sponsor costs per person is on an average USD 490.

Total sponsor need for the conference is USD 15,680.

  • John Godson moved from Nigeria to Poland in the 1990s to work among students. After the turn of the millennium, he became active in Polish politics and in 2010 he became the first person from African background to be elected to the Polish parliament. In the process, Godson earned the nickname "Poland's Obama". He became known as a fearless yet warmhearted politician. In 2015, New African Magazine placed John Godson on its list of the 100 most influential Africans in the world.

Godson has agreed that Tent can write and publish a book about him.

We estimate that it will cost approximately USD 12,000 to prepare the manuscript for the book. Translation and publication costs will come in addition. Initially, we plan to publish the book in English and Polish.

Total sponsor need in 2024 is USD 12,000.

  • Tent plays a central role in the Lausanne movement's tentmaking network. Mirka Pena, head of Tent Dominicana, and Steinar Opheim, head of Tent International, are two of three representatives in the network's leadership team.

Through the Lausanne network Tent can share the visions about tentmaking widely and work out strategies together with church and mission leaders around the world.

Our involvement in the Lausanne movement incurs high costs for Tent. Among other things, we are currently working on setting up a dedicated resource website for church and mission leaders.

Total sponsor need in 2024 is USD 15,000.

  • Tent’s national branches in Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, India, and Dominican Republic need financial assistance to grow. Tent International desires to provide support of USD 3,000 to each nation this year so these branches can flourish and send more people.

Total sponsor need in 2024 is USD 21,000.

  • In 2022 Tent started a project that aims at sharing the vision about tentmaking and building sending structures for businesspeople and professionals in Asia. The project especially focuses on identifying, recruiting, and training tentmakers in one of the major nations in Asia. Tent collaborates with a big network of Christians in this nation.

Total sponsor need in 2024 is USD 45,000.
